Most professional blogs today have a privacy and disclosure policy. These policies are created to inform your readers about some of the more legal aspects of your website.
However, writing your own privacy policy or disclaimer can be somewhat difficult unless you’ve had years of law school or have extra cash to pay a high priced lawyer.
I’ve discovered two free websites that will take the place of your lawyer and help you create a privacy policy and disclaimer for your site.
Why Do I Need a Privacy Policy?
Most people online like their privacy and like to keep their information to themselves. The thought of giving out your Social Security number or email and having it be used in a way you don’t approve of scares many Internet users.
Privacy policies let all of your readers or users know exactly what you do with their data. If you don’t plan to do anything with it, it is good for your readers to know that. This might make them more likely to sign up for your service or whatever your website does.
How to Create a Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy Generator makes it extremely easy to make your privacy policy. All you need to do is type in your company name, mark if you accept credit cards and enter your email address.
Why Do I Need a Disclosure Policy?
Many bloggers and website owners around the Internet get paid for their content, so their opinion or articles could have a slight bias. A disclosure policy lets your readers know exactly how you are compensated and how that affects your articles and services. This makes your readers more comfortable with the content you provide.
How To Write A Disclaimer
You can generate your disclosure policy or disclaimer by visiting this website. All you have to do is respond to six easy steps. Within these steps, you will fill in a few blanks and answer a few questions. Once that is done, your disclosure policy will be presented to you. It really is that easy!

Conclusion
These two websites allow you to quickly and easily make a privacy and a disclosure policy. My privacy and disclosure policies were made using these websites, and I feel confident using them.
Do you have a privacy and/or a disclosure policy? Why? Why not?

I have a disclaimer on blog because I do product reviews. I also put a little disclaimer image in every post that is a review post. Though, that being said, I always give my honest opinion of a product.
I have a privacy policy in my own store. Though I only accept payment through PayPal (as does much of the digital scrapbooking industry), I still have access to their email address and they need to know that I will never sell their email address and I will never use it for anything other than store announcements that they sign up for.
Great post!
