Thanks for the tips – I wasn’t aware you could be banned, I’ve never seen that screengrab before.

    Natasha, it’s true.

Fortunately, this article was not written from personal experience! (Laughs)

Has never happened to me. Thank goodness. But if it ever does, I am now fully prepared and know exactly what to do.

Thanks so much for the great information. Being prepared is the best way to avoid panic responses. :)

    Dear Mr.Baril,

Unfortunately I just have been suspended, I am girl from Asia and I didn,t know anything from until 2 weeks ago when I signed up.
And since it,s good for my work to have many followers I looked around on the internet and tried some programmes to follow and unfollow. Nobody really told me that there were rules and that other progammes are not allowed. Tis surprise me a lot because they pretend if they are authorized by twitter ? and they tell for example today you can follow 950 persons. But as I see now this is not true .
So what can I do best because I would be really sad If lose my account and especially my twitter name.
I am afraid if i tell the truth I lose my account,so can you please advise me what to do best.
I swear I didn,t know all this and I feel very unhappy about this.
Hope to hear from you ,

    Kind regards,

    Jay

I just received a message a few minutes ago and I was worried for a few minutes. The email looked genuine. I went to twitter and there was nothing there informating me I had any problem.
    Boy, they almost had me.
I noticed the link at the bottom asks you to sign up with an email for an effor and your account will be re-instated. Just spammers trying their ways.

I am usually very alert to protecting the integrity of my account. To the rest of you out there, if you have seen something similar, just to go Twitter to verify the actual acccount status.

    Thanks for the advice.

My Twitter account has been suspended for over 7 days now for now reason I can think of after reviewing Twitter Rules, and Best Practices. I have written to Twitter over a dozen times but only received automated responses. I have no problem following any rule but please let me know which one I have violated (if I did) so I can correct the problem. Twitter support is totally unresponsive and unhelpful in this matter. It is very frustrating not getting any responses or communication from them. I would have also appreciated a warning. They are wasting a lot of their time and my time leaving this issue unresolved. I find their support unacceptable.
